Be the Change

Be the change that you wish to see in the world.

Today I wanted to take a little bit of time to introduce myself to you all and to tell you a little bit about the company that I work for- a non profit coffee shop that is making a difference in a small town community.

I am 25 years old and I live in Loveland, Colorado. I spent several years abroad doing missions work specifically anti trafficking focused and after that I taught preschool for three years. My heart has always been for people first and foremost and how to encourage people to be themselves in a world that often tells people to blend in with those around them.

I first met Mollie, founder of Continue Good, when she was in school at CSU and immediately recognized a kindred spirit with a passion and desire to make a difference in this world. Through the blogs I write and the organization Continue Good we both sincerely hope that you are reminded that you are a light to those around you and that every small act of kindness is important and valuable.

The coffee shop that I work for (Coffee House Ten 24) has a vision that lines up with that of Continue Good in so many ways. They are a small group of passionate individuals that really desire to create relationships within their community.  Believing it is important to serve others – especially those in extreme need; like at risk women and youth. They believe that at every act of kindness matters and that we have within us all it takes to create change in the world.

You can read more about them on their Facebook page (VIEW) or by simply googling Coffee House Ten 24 in Eaton, Colorado.

Our hope is that you see their coffee house and continue good and are inspired to create your own change in the world. It doesn’t have to be something extravagant or elaborate-simply show up and love people well. Show up and use your voice. Maybe that looks like volunteering your time with an organization that you are passionate about, maybe it looks like starting your own company. Just remember that no matter how big or small you feel your move is it doesn’t matter. You are doing something and that is all that matters. Be encouraged today dear friends and reach out to us to let us know how you are going to spread love today!
